Nueces County Veterans Treatment Court (VTC)
Founded in 2011 to address the growing number of veterans involved in the criminal justice system, the Nueces County Veterans Treatment Court incorporates a team of professionals using a multi-disciplinary team approach to assist eligible veterans. The Veterans Treatment Court provides treatment and education for veterans suffering from mental health and/or substance abuse issues within the criminal justice system and assists them with successful reintegration into society and family life. The Nueces County Veterans Treatment Court is a voluntary 12-24 month intensive supervision program and involves a dedicated team of professionals led by the Honorable Judge Jack Pulcher.

Legal Help for Veterans
Texas RioGrande Legal Aids (TRLA) Veterans Advocacy Project (VAP) hosts a legal clinic for eligible veterans, widows, and spouses of veterans, and current service members to speak with a lawyer about their civil legal needs including housing evictions , HUD-VASH, Social Security, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Snap/food stamps, Medicaid, VA Benifits, wills and probate, advance directives, and much more
