Night Of Grace
Night of Grace is an emergency, last-resort outreach program designed to provide temporary shelter and immediate support when all other housing options have been exhausted. This program is not a long-term housing solution, but a short-term bridge to safety, stability, and next steps.
Program Guidelines:
• Available only after all other shelter and housing options have been exhausted
• Intended for temporary, short-term assistance—not ongoing housing
• Participation requires a forward-moving plan
• Individuals must agree to connect with social services, case management, or appropriate agencies
• Follow-up with support services will occur the next day
• Focused on long-term stability, not just immediate relief
Night of Grace serves both veterans and members of the general public.

VFW Finical Assistance
We understand the challenges that our active-duty service members (to include activated Guard/Reserve members) and their families can face, and we believe that experiencing financial difficulties should not be one of them. That's the premise behind the VFW’s Financial Assistance for Service Members program.
The Financial Assistance for Service Members program is here to help America's active-duty service members (to include activated Guard/Reserve members) and their families who have run into unexpected financial difficulties because of deployment or other military-related activity or injury. The program provides financial assistance up to $2,500 to assist with daily necessities in the form of a grant – not a loan – so no repayment is required. To further ease the burden, we pay the creditor(s) directly.
The needs of our active-duty service members (to include activated Guard/Reserve members) and their families should never go unmet. Let us offer you a hand-up when you need it!
For additional information, and to see if you or someone you know qualifies for a grant through the Financial Assistance for Service members program, please review the Financial Assistance for Service Members eligibility criteria.

VA Medical Foster Home
The MFH is intended to serve Veterans who are unable to live independently due to functional, cognitive, or psychosocial impairment resulting from conditions such as complex chronic disease, psychological disorder, spinal cord injury or Polytrauma. These Veterans may have no family currently available to provide needed monitoring, supervision, and assistance with the Veteran’s activities of daily living (ADL). A VA interdisciplinary home care team addresses the health conditions, while the MFH caregiver serves in the capacity of family caregiver to provide monitoring, supervision, and personal assistance.

SeaCity Workcamp
We are concerned about the quality of life in our community. One of the ways we can address our concern is by repairing residences of homeowners who have special needs but have limited resources. When we help persons live safely and securely in their own homes, we feel that we are doing God’s work by helping our neighbor.
Sea City Work Camp concentrates its efforts in the local Corpus Christi area.
Sea City Work Camp will conduct most construction and repairs during the month of June. We will utilize high school youth from local churches and supervising skilled adults to make the repairs. Sea City Work Camp will provide labor and materials at no cost to the homeowner/applicant. This is a free program.
If you would like to have your house considered for our repair project, please fill out the Online Application and Release Forms below. To quality for this project, you must complete a Housing Rehabilitation Application, meet the requirements for the project,
and agree to the Release of Liability.
Homes chosen for renovation through Sea City Work Camp must meet certain guidelines. These guidelines, including income and ownership qualifications, are contained in the Homeowner Application.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat’s one-of-a-kind affordable financing model. We do not give away houses. Our model offers mortgages with affordable monthly payments to increase homeownership among vulnerable communities, including low- or moderate-income households. We collaborate closely on every aspect of home purchase from application to closing. Repayments are cycled into helping more families build and rehabilitate affordable homes.

Learn about Habitat’s homeownership process and family selection qualifications. Habitat does not give away houses; instead, future homeowners partner with local affiliates and volunteers to build or rehabilitate a home and pay an affordable mortgage.
